The YETI Tundra 65 cooler is a heavy-duty generalist, equally adept at keeping your catches cold in the field or serving as the drink-and-food hub for a tailgate, party, or other times of general revelry.

This ice chest is plenty roomy, holding 39 cans, a keeper redfish or a small quartered deer.

Whatever you choose to chill, you know this top-quality cooler will keep it cold longer thanks to 2 meaty inches of insulation and our cold-keeping gasket.

Dry ice compatibility allows you to keep everything chilled for as long as possible.

Need your YETI to serve as a hunting cooler one weekend, a marine cooler the next, and a party cooler right after? Don’t be afraid to mix it up: the durable polyethylene material can stand up to repeat duty again and again, and the integrated, self-stopping hinges scoff in the face of excessive use.

The handles are made from marine-grade nylon rope with textured grips for easy carrying, even fully loaded.

If you’re taking the Tundra 65 out on the water as a marine cooler, don’t forget that it’s also a great casting platform in a bay boat. And as a hunting cooler, the grizzly-proof* design gives you peace of mind in bear country.

Although it doesn’t make the bears so happy. *When used with YETI bear-proof locks.

This did not hold ice for nearly as long as advertised. Followed directions to a tee. Cooled the cooler off for a day first, with one pound of ice cubes. Chilled everything I put into it for two days before filling. Made 1LB blocks of ice and filled the bottom and sides with 7 blocks. Filled with beverages, and topped off with ice cubes until there was no space left in cooler. All ice was “dry”, not wet. Left under my camper with a moving blanket over it for 36 hrs without opening, and came back to most of the ice cubes melted, and the blocks of ice about half melted. Literally the water bottles had melted into the blocks making concaves. The air temperature was about 90ºF with 100% humidity, but these are supposed to hold ice in the worst of Texas heat. I had to go home and I came back with a small igloo cooler(not chilled first though) set up the same with block ice, cubes, and chilled water bottles, and didn’t even cover it, just kept it out of the sun, and the ice lasted just as long. Both about 2 1/2 days to reach the same amount if ice melt. Definitely all hype, and not worth the money. The more I research Yeti, the less I like the company. I will be trying other rotomolded coolers to see how they compare.I would not, and am not, recommending this product.

Gets the job done!I own three Yeti coolers. Tho not cheap, they keep ice longer than any cooler I’ve ever owned. The 65 is my work horse. From camping to Hotel stays to concerts at the park, this thing keeps the drinks and snacks cold.Lots of compliments when out and about. Easy to clean too.I’m a believer.

  3. Creeks Pub

Heavy as hell, but super efficient. Keeps ice 3x longer than every other “normal” cooler. It makes for a great bench to sit on, or it can double as a step up into a higher vehicle. This better be the last cooler I ever buy, because I can’t afford another one. Haha

Nice cooler. I work in plastics so when I got it I noticed there was a lot of flash on the parting line and lifter areas of the mold. For as much money as these things are i would expect a product that is free of molding defects. Also thought it would hold ice longer than it has so far.

Expensive, yes ! This is not a cooler for everyone. If you’ve got bucks to burn and just like the cool factor that’s fine but if you need a very rugged cooler that can hold ice forever then this is the cooler for you. Worth every penny if you are in a situation where you need to keep things cool for days. Check out the imitators they don’t compare.

Way overpriced and does not hold ice any longer than a regular igloo cooler.Very disappointed I bought two Yeti’s coolers and they don’t hold ice for days like everyone says they do.I tested mine many times very disappointed.Built well and very heavy Yes, other that save your money folks.24 lbs of ice melted in less than 28 hrs in a controlled climate garage see pic attached. Opened the cooler a total,of 3 times water is cool but ice is GONE!Going to see if I can send them back!

This is so expensive for a ice chest, however last Aug we put dry ice on the bottom and filled with bags of ice, our ice lasted 7 days in Lake Powell in mid Aug. Drinks, milk, cheese, yogurt, etc. were all kept fresh and Ice cold… It really is worth the money.

  8. Fun in the sun

Barely any melted ice after 3.5days – used 9lb of dry ice and ~3lb of regular ice. After 2 days some of the drinks were frozen solid when they were only refrigerator-cold going in. Would have stayed cold even longer but that was the end of our trip! Wish it had wheels because its very heavy but functionality outweighs it.

Came in before it’s due date and works great for camping. Lots of room in it and keeps things cold way longer than any cooler I’ve ever had. Well worth the money.
