If you’re familiar with Yeti products, you will know they make durable, high quality, bad a** coolers. This is my 3rd Yeti cooler. I have the Roadie and Tundra 50 as well. This was my first soft shell cooler and I went with the Flip 12 because I liked the look better than the other Hopper models.I’ve only had this cooler for about two weeks but have taken it with me on an ATV trip through the mountains of West Virginia for its first real use. (I bought this cooler specifically for this trip). We used the tie downs (which also are used for the shoulder straps) to tie the Flip to the back of the ATV and they worked like a charm. The cooler was covered in mud, knocked around and completely soaked at times but held up like a champ. I was concerned that the rough ride would cause the cooler to lose its shape but that definitely wasn’t the case. The trip lasted three days and we used it to keep our food cold. When we got back to the cars, the ice packs were still cold (not completely frozen) and the Flip definitely did its intended job. I will say I was anal about how often we opened the cooler and how long we let it stay open.I went with the Tan/Blaze Orange color and I will say it looks even better with a little mud/use on it. If you plan on taking this cooler anywhere where its going to get dirty (which you 100% should be doing), I would think the Grey/Blue color wouldn’t wear the dirt as well but that’s just my opinion. The Flip has an extremely aggressive zipper which they claim keeps the cooler leak proof. Honestly I can’t speak to whether or not it is truly leak proof as I was using ice packs, but it does look up to the task. The first few uses were definitely tough to get the cooler open, but the zipper has a nice pull tab and it did seem to get easier after a few uses. The Yeti logo on the back is covered in Velcro which is great. One thing I did with my Tundras was add a sticker here and there to make it unique and my own. The surface of the Flip (and all other Hoppers) wouldn’t be ideal for stickers but a nice Maryland Flag Velcro patch did the trick for me.I’m 100% a fan of Yeti products. Apart from the coolers, I own 2 tumblers, 2 Colsters, and have recently purchased the matching sidekick for my Flip. I bring my Yetis almost everywhere I can. Mountain weekends, car camping trips, road trips, family events and any other occasion I can find an excuse to pack them up with ice, throw them in back of the car, and take them along for another adventure. My friends are always gushing over my coolers and it’s not an uncommon occurrence for someone to come over and ask me about how I like my Yeti. I still enjoy every time I get to use my Tundras and love my new Flip. Price always seems to be everyone issue when it comes to Yeti, but I have never once been disappointed with a purchase. A lot of coolers out there will keep your stuff cold, but a Yeti is the only one that can truly make you yourself feel cool ;)**I’m not employed / paid by Yeti nor have they ever given me any products to review

The Flip 12 will hold 12 bottles of beer and then some plus enough ice to keep them cold for over a day. The Flip is the perfect cooler for small sports type cars and even fits on the luggage rack of motorcycle.

Works just as well as the big Yeti coolers. My husband uses it as a lunchbox, and he once left it in his truck over a weekend, and the inside was still cold when he got it out. A pricey item but does its job well.

My husband loves his new Yeti so much lighter than his original Yeti cooler. Even though it’s light it still keeps his lunch cold n water bottle frozen. A wonderful product that can be used by everyone.
