The Vortex Kaibab 18×56 HD Binoculars are high-power optics that are ideal for nature viewing with minimal light.

Large, 56 mm objective lenses made of HD glass and treated with Vortex’s XR coating plus multiple other coatings deliver maximum light transmission and color fidelity, making your view extremely clear.

The lenses are also shielded by the ArmorTek coating that wicks moisture, oil and dirt.

The housing is fully waterproof, argon purged to prevent fogging, and covered in shock-resistant rubber.

The Kaibab 18×56 HD should be used with a tripod because of its high power and heaviness.

Simply outstanding. These binoculars were purchased primarily for casual astronomical viewing but my casual viewing has almost become an obsession. The glass is so spectacular that you’ll constantly be spinning your head around looking for more objects to view. Stars are pinpoint sharp. Planetary viewing is incredible, although I’ve only caught Mars and Saturn at the moment. Jupiter will be coming soon. The moon is magnificent. Haven’t seen any CA as yet even with the moon but most of my viewing has been in the nighttime. I finally caught the Orion Nebula with the Kaibab’s and it was amazing. I vaguely remembering viewing the Nebula several years ago with my 8″ SCT but I’m not sure I’ve seen it this sharp before. Oh and these are great for watching the Perseid meteor shower.I did take them to my usual test location and they were very impressive. Probably not as sharp as my Vortex Razor HD 12×50 binoculars due to the higher magnification; however, for astronomy that extra 8x magnification becomes very useful. The physical construction is excellent but I honestly prefer the Razor HD design a bit better. I would love to see the Kaibab 20×56 updated with the Razor HD construction. These can be handheld but in most situations a tripod is required for extended viewing. By using the tripod, you’ll see the sharpest, shake-free image as well. A quick-release tripod adapter is included; however, it’s not the best design. If you’re always using a tripod then it’ll be fine. If you want to transition from tripod to neck to tripod then you’ll find yourself remove the adapter all the time.

Great! I can’t complain. I spotted lone elk over 1,000 yards away while they were bedded down. If you have questions I’ll try to answer them for. If you want a picture I’ll do that too.

Fantastic piece of glass. Used for an Aoudad hunt two days after receiving them. Highly recommended for those Western hunters that aren’t wanting to pay 2-3x times the prices for Swaros, Zeiss or Leicas as these are on par with those brands.

Putting these up against my Swaro El’s. I want these to be more useful and understand the purpose but when I put them up against even the 10x EL’s i prefer the EL’s for scouring mountain sides looking for game. Edge to Edge clarity is really the difference in my mind. 15x’s have a purpose and if these are what your budget can afford then I recommend them but if you are looking for the best glass our there these simply aren’t it.

Great binoculars! I like the focus adjustment. It seems to be a lower gear than most I have used. This gives you the ability to easily do fine adjustment.

Average quality for the high cost. Would of done better with a less costlier product.

These binos made it possible to look at ridges and canyons where I hunt that were 1/2 mile away or more up close and to spot game and be able to plan the hike more strategically
