This blender is fantastic IF you’re always making very large batches. I tried to make a small portion of almond butter but had to finish it off in my older smaller blender. Since the blades on this blender sit high off the floor of the container, the blades just whir above the product and you’ll continually be scrapping the sides and still never get a smooth product. I prefer to make small batches of products since most don’t last long, and we like to eat many different things. If you’re always making large batches of product (e.g. minimum would be 2 cups of almond butter from 4 cups of almonds), then definitely this is the blender for you!Would have given this 5 stars if Vitamix had let us know this doesn’t accommodate small to normal volumes of product. Although they do say this is the “Professional” series (restaurant volume), so just know they mean it!UPDATE: You can buy additonal smaller containers (32 or 48 oz) for this base for about $100 each.

I love this product so much! Six years ago I bought an Omega juicer from Amazon. I used it steadily for almost a year then stopped when it got to be too tedious preparing items for juicing. This Vitamix is so amazing, quick, efficient and easy. I love smoothies so that is all that I’ve used it for to date. But I’m having smoothies 2-3 times a day and losing weight. I’ve had a Cuisinart blender for about 15 years that is highly inferior to this machine regarding chopping ice. This self-cleaning, powerful machine is worth every penny. No chunks of ice! Perfectly blended! My husband is now a convert to smoothies. The noise is still quite loud but that’s the only slightly negative thing I can think of. Worked right out of the box, after cleaning and reading directions thoroughly. I highly recommend.

I purchased this without my husband knowing because I know he’d be absolutely livid with the price. But it was a bit difficult to hide on the kitchen counter top, so I went with the next best alternative – I made him a smoothie and didn’t tell him the price. He was in love. (With the Vitamix blender of course!) Soon after, I was making hot soups (yum!) and eating healthier. My kids sometimes want an ‘unhealthy’ smoothie which is mostly fruits – still better for you than a package of Oreos! I didn’t know it was possible, but my husband now uses the blender more than me. The quality is superier: the container is a thick plastic and won’t break, and it blends frozen fruit chunks with ease. The consistency is perfect, as there are no tiny chunks of foods such as spinach or seeds. And… I don’t know what I would do without the cleaning cycle.I eventually told him the price. He wasn’t phased since he was already in love (with the Vitamix blender of course!).It’s well worth the investment. Would I buy it again? YES! In fact, I did buy it again to give as a gift.

What a powerful, wonderful and very effective kitchen tool this Vitamix blender is! I was using a Bullet but had to ditch it when the news about the class action lawsuit surfaced. I went looking for a replacement and you may be thinking the Vitamix is a bit over the top. I can assure you, it is not. I love using it, love learning new recipes with it and love just seeing it sit on my counter. The Vitamix can help you make just about anything and it even has its own cleaning cycle so you just add soapy water and sit back. I love this blender and highly recommend it.

I have had the opportunity to compare the Pro 750 Household mdl (VM0158A) series to a much earlier (10-15 years earlier) model, the Commercial/Household model (VM0103). I have also used the Rival Mdl X1-14402C (don’t think they are made anymore).Due to a medical condition everything I eat is through a PEG tube and all foods must be near liquefied for consumption. As far as performance, the new model does just as well as the older model and processes the food in a very short amount of time. I have processed sausage (patties and links), hamburger patties, Bacon wrapped turkey & chuck tender filets, Panda Express Orange chicken & Sweet Fire Chicken both with chow mien, pizza, meat loaf, pork tender loin, and others.. As of this review I have not found anything that the blender (s) could not liquefy and do it in 1 to 2 minutes. The Rival does ok but when processing meats a strainer is highly recommended. The only downside of the Vitamix blenders I can comment on at this timeother than kcost, is that both mdl blenders are a little bit noisy but the new model seems to have a little more vibration in it.Can’t wait tell I can eat normal again so that I can try some of the other food processing techniques listed in the Vitamix cookbook. If I base the durability rating off of the earlier mdl blender I would have to give it a 5 star rating, the newer mdl I have only had for a month so can’t comment on that one yet.Would I recommend the Vitamix blender to a friend, you bet!

I have been using an older VitaMix blender that has 3 pre-programmed settings for over 10 years, and it has been excellent. It got LOTS of use. Bearings started to age, so sent it to VitaMix to service it (“gifting” it to my daughter). She is very happy with my older reconditioned one, and I bought this newer model for myself. Love it, love it, love it. If U R thinking of getting a decent blender, invest in one of these. It will last a long time, and is a workhorse!
Blender has a small crack in the bottom. Leaking the first time I used it. Base seems to work well but need a replacement container.

It’s a vitamix what more needs to be said. I’ve wanted a vitamix for years and I finally got this one last Christmas. I may not use it every day but I use it often and it’s so nice to be able and put it onto auto and let it run through the course without me having to pulse it. Occasionally I have to use the tamper tool but it’s the machine that makes it all so very nice and easy. Plus it’s easy to clean.

This blender is amazing. The smoothies come out perfect. Still have yet to learn the other functions.
