    Wanted one of these reels for a long time. I’ve used nothing but bait cast reels and and have a freshwater State Record. Be aware: These reels are fantastic for fighting a large fish and I love the lever drag. Now it’s very difficult to cast. Tried four different rod lengths and actions and yet to get a descent smooth cast. Up to a three ounce wt. on a short rod and still no good and too much of a birds nest. Going to increase the weight to a five ounce. Will be excellent on a boat or pier, but so far not suitable for the surf. Don’t have problems with my Senators or Squalls. something to consider.

    It’s a shimano, light weight, solid construction. Fish with these and Penn and both work great.

    These reels are great, if you haven’t used one there’s no going back to the old star drag. Super smooth action, and you can winch in a much bigger fish than you might think. I already have one of these, still working like new after several years with zero maintenance other than hosing off the salt water.

    One of the best reels I have ever used. Super smooth and a lot of settings. Its expensive but worth it if you can afford to spring a little extra.

    Il mulinello si adatta perfettamente per la sua robustezza e precisione a diversi tipi di pesca. Io l’ho sempre usato per la traina di profondità con piombo guardiano. Si presta perfettamente ed anche con Ricciole di peso elevato non mostra alcun cedimento. La meccanica è di estrema robustezza e la regolazione della frizione a leva permette di tararla con estrema precisione.
