We are turning into a Samsung household. Their products are everywhere, and up to this purchase, we have been very happy. This microwave however has really put us off the brand. I know its not fair to judge everything by one example, but how difficult is it to make a device that opens when you push the release for the door? We purchased this in March or April I think, and by June we were having trouble getting the door to open when you push the release button. We are to the point of leaving the door open when done cooking, just to reduce the frustration of using the microwave. Now to open you have to either mash on the release with a significant amount of force, and/or, have a free hand to help pry the door open while pushing on the release. How many people go to the microwave with two free hands?!The oven also has a tendency to reset itself when you open the door. The entire display turns off and the clock resets as if there were a power failure. The control panel buttons are not very well lined up with the numbers on the pad, meaning you have to push around the button number to find where it actually responds. These controls also require much more force then necessary. The microwave operates with a rattle that even our 15 year old one we replaced didn’t have, and that one had been moved several times and not handled gently all the time. The only real positive I have, and the main reason we purchased this model is the mute button. That at least works like it should.I’m hoping that tech support is better then the actual product…

Wow, really bad purchase. Began to malfunction one day after the product return cutoff! Samsung can’t handle the process of making a property functioning microwave. Shame, because I have Samsung dishwasher & range and I love them both. The annoying part: the open button (lower bottom part of the panel portion on the right side of the unit) sticks when trying to open, so I have to open the door by pulling it open from the bottom. The scary part: it shuts down & resets itself entirely more than half the time during use. I typically use a microwave 1-2 times a week. Yeah, I’m quite certain that appliances aren’t supposed to loose power on during normal operation.

Worst experience ever and this comes from an owner of 3 Samsung TV’s and several Galaxy phones. Microwave stopped heating after 8 months and made a burning smell. Samsung seemed nice at first and sent a technician out to fix it, it did not fix a thing. They sent him a second time and he deemed it not repairable. I have since been on the phone a dozen times with Samsung and the repair shop. Nothing has been resolved. I am told now they need a copy of my purchase invoice which I have sent them twice and all I am told is they did not receive it. The repair shop and Samsung keep me on the phone for an hour at a time and send me back and forth like the errand boy. Never will I buy another appliance from this company. I’ve been getting the run around for several months and this microwave just takes up space on my counter. The sad part is I can’t just throw it in the trash.
