In the month that I have used this, I have put it through the ringer. I took it on a 3 day canoe trip, and it kept my steaks and drink cold throughout the 80 degree days perfectly. I also took this to the beach for a week. Only refreshed the ice 3 times in the 6 (90 degree) days I was there – and one of those times was because I spilled the ice and contents out like an idiot. The only downside about this cooler (and the reason why I am giving this 4 stars instead of 5) is that the rubber feet on the bottom are not permanently attached. I lost one of the rubber feet on the river trip, but a quick call to RTIC customer support resolved the issue. Their friendly customer service rep shipped a new foot to me, and I only had to pay for shipping. The rubber footing issue is easily resolved by using a waterproof superglue to secure each of the feet to the cooler itself. For the value, and reliability, I would definitely recommend this to anyone seeking something that is durable and reliable, but unwilling to pay for the “YETI” name (is the name worth 75$ to you?).

The only reason that this didn’t get 5 is because of the handle. I love the cooler itself. I keep it in my Explorer and always have frozen bottles of water in it keeping all of my drinks cool. The handle though….that thing is pretty thin. I have good grips and I can take a fair amount of pain, but this handle is just flat irritating. It needs some girth to it to be comfortable, it is limited to the center notch on either end that it sits in, if it comes out of the notches, it wants to tip too far over. The thing needs a shoulder strap. I’m going to figure out how to make one since one isn’t already made for it.But, all in all, its a great cooler for the car and frees up a lot of space, holds a perfect amount of drinks.

update: After owning this cooler for 2 weeks the feet started coming off and the cooler is unbelievably hard to open after being closed. The cooler does not hold ice for more than 18 hours and we are not very happy with the performance based on the price.I did extensive research before purchasing this cooler. I just started on a job site in Texas a few months back and its getting very hot in Texas as we speak. My basic walmart cooler wasn’t holding ice for very long so I said screw it, ill buy a nice one. After researching, I came to find out that the best smaller coolers out there are the RTIC 20 and the yeti. Since they claim that this cooler will hold ice for up to 3 days and it had decent reviews I got this one for $150 after tax.Long story short, this cooler will not hold ice for 3 days in any 90 degree weather. I contacted RTIC from their website and they claim it will hold for “UP to 3 days” and that’s only if the cooler is pre cooled for 24 hours, opened only once per day and stored in 70 degree weather.Really? why would I buy a cooler that I could only open up 1 time a day lol.FACT: Ice will hold for 1 day up until the end of a work day. 7am – 6pm. Its a well built but you will have to add ice everyday which kind of defeats the purpose of why I bought it. its super heavy when filled, but is very sturdy. Overall I have a co worker with Walmart 26 qt cooler and it performs just the same for $80. The RTIC 20 should be priced at $99.

We bought this because we do a lot of traveling with our two small kids and need to bring milk and food in the car. It kept our food cold for days. Our biggest trip was driving from Michigan to Oregon, it took 5 days and we relied on the cooler to keep our food cold. It’s so good that my dad bought one for my parents camper. The only downside is that when it’s full and heavy, the metal handle will slip out of its mounting holes.

It’s worked like it was advertised. Holds ice for several days. I put in frozen ice packs the day before I used it to get it cool inside. Then loaded it up with drinks and ice. Didn’t have to buy ice for three and a half days. Money saver

Great size for a day trip for two people. Heavy for its size but light compared to the bigger model coolers. I bought the little rack that goes in it to keep food dry and it works great as well. Doesn’t take up too much space in the car or boat. If youve never had a cooler like this before they are much smaller on the inside than they look.

If your thinking about this product/company——-RUN!!!!!!I have ordered 2 of these in the last month. First cooler leaked like a strainer out of the rubber feet the first use. No obvious cracks inside -Returned for a refund — it’s been almost 2 weeks— still waiting—no refund yet.Cooler number 2– first use— the rubber feet came off. Called customer support—- their solution—- buy some glue and glue them on !!!!!???? Really.2 pieces of junk- out $300 dollars and waiting—-And I’m not buying glue to patch their piece of junk!!!The only reason it has a star— you have to give it at least one

I was expecting a high quality product and am very upset. For the money I was under the impression this was equivalent to Yeti. The rubber feet look like they are supposed to be glued in and they keep popping out. Because of this I have lost 1 and now the cooler is uneven. I expected more from Rtic. Any cooler over $100 should be top quality and durable. This is anything g but that.
