We bought a 65 qt, then a 20 qt directly from RTIC. They both do seem to be well made. We ordered the 20 quart at the end of June (5 months ago). I have only used it one time. I recently put it in the back seat of my truck, planning to use it. I went to add some food and I noticed that the plastic on the bottom inside had started to bubble up, separating from the foam insulation. I am sure that it will not affect the functionality of the cooler, and I was just planning on keeping an eye on it to see if it got worse. That was when I went to the RTIC website and realized that they have changed their warranty to just 30 days . . . WOW. RTIC has basically done away with their warranty. It was 7 years, then lowered to just 30 days …I applaud a company that will stand behind their product, what does this change say to you?? You may decide to look elsewhere for a premium cooler as there are now many different brands to choose from. You can go to the RTIC website to see their warranty. As of today (11/16/2016) the warranty of all their products is for only 30 days . . .

Great cooler. I was undecided between this and the Yeti. I ended up purchasing the RTIC. Although I have only used it in the fall at temps below 70 degrees, ice has lasted more than a week. The cooler is constructed well and is a great value for the price. I’m super happy with this purchase and plan on buying the next size up in the spring!

Great value as compared to name brand competitors. Took it on a weekend camping trip, 75% of the ice came home with us, very spacious and easy to maneuver with the built in handles.

I own many RTIC tumblers, water bottles, etc. which where almost identical in quality to the YETI tumblers that I own. I thought it was time to purchase a Cooler. After much debating and talking to friends who own both brands, I decided to go with the RTIC. After all, they claim to make the same product at half the price! I received my RTIC cooler via Prime Shipping and was thoroughly disappointed. Not only did the cooler look used, with multiple scuffs, scratches and deep dents that looked like it had been kicked around the factory before it was packaged, BUT the cooler did not even hold water. The drain hole is completely stripped. Whoever drilled the hole was very careless or need to have their vision checked. Does RTIC not have someone at the end of assembly checking these things before it is packaged for the consumer!? I had watched youtube reviews of the RTIC coolers that claimed the same thing, but had my fingers crossed that I would receive a “good” version that so many reviewers have talked about. Unfortunately for me, I got a dud. I’m in contact with RTIC right now to see what they will do about the situation. I’ll add to my review once I get some answers.

very unhappy . I only use a cooler a few times a year . tired of the old cooler not keeping the ice more than a day . so I decided to get a (good ) cooler . got it at Christmas , never used it until Memorial Day weekend 2017 . so sad , ice did not last as expected not even two days . drain plug does not seal , water leaked out all over the kitchen wood floor in a house we had rented . cleaned up the mess ( no damage to floor) but there could have been . going to contact RTIC today to see what can be done about this .I would not recommend this product to anyone.

Bought one of these for my son, big camper. He and everyone present went so nuts over this cooler that we bought another for my daughter, another camper. Our son is in Colorado, our daughter is in the Northwest near Seattle. Two very different camping experiences but this cooler does the job in both geographical settings.

Really keeps things cold or warm and for a long time, however it is very heavy and the walls are so thick that it doesn’t hold much. The same is true for all similar brands. Recommend using this to keep your ice in and use another cooler for the food or drinks. As the ice melts in the older coolers, replace it with ice from this one.
