This cooler is all about extremes – from impact resistance and durability to long lasting ice retention.
This midsize cooler makes a perfect multi-purpose cooler.
It can be carried by one person.
The RTIC 45 can do double duty as a bench, nonslip step stool, tabletop and extra cutting board while keeping ice, perishables and vital supplies cold.

Depending on your expectations and what you choose to believe as far as what marketing tells you, opinions may vary. I bought this for half the price of the leading sasquatch brand. It’s clean, straight, with no cracks or blemishes . It seals and keeps ice cold. Don’t expect it to keep ice for a week long trek across the Sahara, but it performs better than a $40 discount store special. It doesn’t have a super long warranty, but I didn’t pay extra for that, because, well, it’s a plastic cooler. If you want an expensive status symbol, or you are planning to take your cooler into a war zone and want to know that it won’t break if the insurgents overwhelm you and get thirsty, then take out a second mortgage and buy a different cooler. If you just want to upgrade to a decent functional cooler without draining your kid’s college fund, you can’t go wrong with this one.

Currently using a Yeti 45 and an RTIC 45 and they’re the same thing. Great product!

I brought this cooler to an open air camping environment in South Texas during a heat wave for 3 days. The average temperature outside ranging from 100-105 degrees until about 6pm with evening lows of 85-90; the car was never parked in the shade. This cooler was left in the trunk of the car and was pre-chilled with ice the night before the outting and filled with new ice the morning of. By day 3 a lot of the ice was melted as to be expected sitting in a hot car for 72 hours during a Texas heat wave. Much to my pleasure, the cooler kept everything cold during the whole trip and I am very pleased with this product. I highly recommend this if you are looking for a quality cooler that can keep your drinks cold for 3 days during extreme temperatures. This cooler can probably stay cold for 5 days with mild temperatures based upon the performance it had during a Texas heat wave for a 3 day camping weekend.

We put this on the back of our boat. It is well built. Holds plenty of drinks. And cost less than the one that dose not support the 2nd amendment. This is a great cooler for the price. As you can see from the picture it will strap to your boat with a kit you can also get on amazon. Holds ice for 7 days and kept the drinks ice cold for 8 days. In the winter you can store your ammo and guns in it.

I feel like such a traitor. I am a huge Yeti fan, and have loved my tumbler for the past three years. I was in the market for a large(er) cooler, but really could not stomach the prices of Yeti. After watching multiple videos on youtube, I decided to become a turncoat and go from this lookalike. Let me tell you, it is just as good if not better than the Yeti! Actually – I know it’s better because I saved so much money buying this instead of the ‘name brand’ option. Seriously, it performs just as well as the Yeti, I’ve compared it with friends while camping. Literally my one complaint is part of the plastic is textured and does not allow me to put stickers on that part.

I bought this cooler thinking it would out perform the cheap igloo that we have had for years. It is durable and well built, but it doesn’t hold ice for 24 hours. We had it side by side with a YETI that our friends own. After a weekend at the lake with the same conditions we had water while they still had a substantial amount of ice. Won’t buy another RTIC product again. Very disappointed.

My 45q cooler arrive without the large plug. Since this is a new modification I cannot find a replacement part and the emails I have sent have not been responded to.

Great Product. Arrived next day free of charge. Half the price of the other coolers. bulky, heavy and solid everything I was looking for. I purchased a nice wheel kit too because loaded this ice chest is heavy! I consider myself strong but to haul an ice chest that weighs about 100-120 lbs hundreds of feet for one person is a hassle. Overall pleased with the cooler and I wont need another but if i do i would purchase again.
