    This blender has two phases, vacuum then blend. It created a vacuum but did not blend.Returned.The replacement blender did not vacuum nor blend!Returned.Called Oster. They had no tech knowledge for this blender.Called Amazon, very helpful. They called Oster tech and were told, “No units available for replacement.”There is another 1* review, which my experience confirms. Very sad.

    If there is only one word to describe this blender it is: INTENSE.I got this blender for my daughter and son-in-law who are expecting a baby and wanted it to make homemade baby food. Meanwhile, they are using it to make smoothies and a cherished family recipe for authentic Italian tomato sauce that calls for the sauce to be blended in a blender.In addition to simple blending, this model has a vacuum seal feature that turns a simple blender into the Superman of blenders. Even the color of the tomato sauce is a richer red when blended this way!The blender also offers programmed timing, a feature that allows the contents to be fully blended. Unlike cheaper blenders we have previously used where the blade would spin but nothing would actually blend, this one has an automatic system that fixes all that so it blends perfectly.Highly recommended.

    First of all I was curious about the vacuum technology! I tried it out in order to make a smoothie containing pineapple, raspberries and apple. It claims that it serves up a richer color but I honestly didn’t see a difference. It however make a really smooth drink. I can see this would do a great job creating but butters. I then used it to create my hot chocolate mix. The blender was able to pulse the frozen chocolate chips without melting them and also did a great job mixing it with cocoa and stevia. Other then that this blender was similar to other high end ones. I would only get it if you really want the vacuum technology.

    A lot of what we’ve noticed with blenders, especially ones that are higher-end, is that they’re often large and bulky. They have a lot of extra options that we feel most people don’t need or would use. This blender is nice and compact and has a few very simple options for those that need a blender for the main purpose of…blending!The fact that it can also vacuum seal is amazing. Sometimes we’ll blend up a smoothie for later in the day and making sure it’s fresh when we pull it out of the fridge or freezer after several hours is awesome. It blends extremely well. Our first test was pineapple chunks and juice, and it made it so smooth and easy to drink. Much better than other blenders we’ve tried in the past!The only downside we’ve noticed so far is that it is quite loud. While it does an excellent job blending everything, when set on the normal blend mode, it goes through various stages and length of time for blending and can be very noisy. Not something you’d want to be doing early in the morning or late at night when people are sleeping.The vacuum sealing is also not very quiet, but does seem to create a great seal. Each smoothie we’ve made has come out tasting just as fresh as if it were recently done, even if it’s been sitting in the fridge overnight.Overall a great buy for those that don’t need all the bells and whistles of the more expensive blenders available.

    I already have a foodsaver machine so I know the difference vacuum storage can make and I was prepared for the noise vacuum, sealing can make. You can vacuum seal your ingredients and keep them fresh until you’re ready to blend if you want to. The blender is quality built. I love the dishwasher safe Tritan jars, so lightweight compared to the glass ones I have been using. The six blades have been able to handle anything I have thrown at them.I haven’t tried anything with the blender yet that didn’t have superior results. Protein powder with water and a few ice cubes make a very thick milk-shake-like mixture (my favorite).Five year warranty.

    This is a pretty sweet blender. I’ve been using my Ninja for the past couple of years and this surpasses that. I drink smoothies during the week for lunch and I always have to use 10-15 minutes of my lunch making my smoothie and cleaning. Now that I’ve had this, I make 3 days worth of smoothies at the same time and use the vacuum seal, which is great. I know it says that it keeps things fresh for 24 hours, but my smoothie on day 3 tasted just as good! I’ve also used to make yogurt and that came out well. Also, it’s pretty stylish, too.

    Easier to use than it looks at first. Works very well and does a great job with pretty much everything I’ve thrown at it. I do have a VitaMix and this compares very favorably to it. However, it takes up way less room than the larger machine and isn’t nearly as problematic to clean. Definitely wins in the convenience comparison. This has multiple speeds and pre-sets, works really fast and is easy to clean. Just toss it in the dishwasher. I also love the vacuum storage jar which allows me to make up my smoothie before I need it so I can just grab and go.I didn’t expect to be as impressed as I was. It’s earned a permanent place in my kitchen and gets a workout regularly. It’s easier to use than the VitaMix and easier to clean — and it also takes up a lot less room. Winner all the way around.
