It’s quite possibly the most significant salmon fishing reel ever introduced, while adding exceptional function to musky and striper anglers as well.
The Cold Water 350 Low-Profile Line Counter brings together three core features to create the ultimate reel.
First is a compact ergonomic body that fits the hand with exceptional comfort while housing s high-capacity 350 size spool. Second is a powerful drag system with 25-pounds of max drag output. And third is a precision line-counter for exact trolling presentations.
Casting, jigging, trolling, back-bouncing, float fishing, the Cold Water 350 Low-Profile Line counter is one reel that can do it all.

This reel rocks! I use it for bottom fishing for Rockfish and Lingcod, as well as for trolling for Salmon and Halibut. For Rockfish, the line counter and baitcaster style release allow me to constantly monitor and adjust how close to the bottom I am to keep the lure down but not getting snagged. I can’t express how useful the combination of a thumb release for the spool and having the handle on the correct side (I’m a righty, hold my pole in my right and crank with my left) is. For what I’m doing it’s amazing! For trolling, the linecounter is a life saver. Knowing how much line you have out at a glance is pretty clutch.I’m currently saving up to buy another.9 Months later:I still love this reel however after opening it up for winter maintenance, I have reservations about suggesting it for saltwater use. There was a significant amount of corrosion around the main screws on the inside and out of the drive-side plate as well as on several of the brass bearings and main gears.I will continue to use it for saltwater fishing, however I’ll be applying a liberal amount of grease to all metal surfaces and re-inspecting it mid-season to check on it. I’m still quite happy to have this as my main saltwater reel, however I don’t think I need a second. I’ll keep my old penns for that. The amount of corrosion on the main gear makes me think that it didn’t have enough grease from the factory, so those who want the most life out of this reel might open it up before using it to make sure there is an adequate amount of grease.I’m keeping my rating at 5 stars because it’s not a saltwater reel and expecting it to be impervious to corrosion from constant saltwater use would be unreasonable.

Bought it for trolling for Walleye on Lake Erie… it’s light and sleek! 12oz vs 20oz for the regular 30 size model. If you’re on the fence, just buy this one! This is the nicest trolling reel I’ve ever used. You get what you pay for and this is a small price to pay for the best! I’m very happy I got one and will eventually upgrade all of my reels to this one as they wear out/break….

Works well, line counter is extremely nice and matches depth with my fish finder. Great for dropping down on fish 50-100 feet down showing on the ff. Drag has worked very smoothly. Good price point for use with a kayak where there’s always a change of donation to Davy Jones locker.

These reels were bad right out of the box. Both reels sounded like they were falling apart internally when cast out and reeled rough when retrieving. I contacted Amazon who referred me to Okuma customer service. Left several messages with Okuma and never once fot a reply. I have owned many reels as a guide and these have been the biggest disappointment. If you want something like these purchase the Diawa Lexa low profile reels with the line counter. They have never let me down.

Haven’t used is yet but looks nice and easy to calibrate. I put about 300 yards of 30lb power pro on it and calibrate to zero in a 100 feet. Can’t wait to use this

Bought this for my wife and she loves it. We striper fish and it’s so handy to count down your line.

Love it. I use it for trolling mostly. Great for walleye and salmon in the rivers. Nice and compact and the drag and winching handle is unreal. I don’t really used it for casting and there are no brakes, just a tension control knob. You can cast with it but you need to have alot of experience with baitcasters to prevent backlash. Great Reel anyways.

Very speedy delivery. I would only give a 4 out of 5 though. This is because the reel is slightly rough when reeling in the line. If it was as smooth as some others I have used, then it would get a 5. The line counter works as advertised and should be very useful for returning the lure/bait quickly to the previous depth where the fish are biting. Will work very well for kokanee and rainbow fishing this summer.
