These are very good glasses. Very good. The color rendition is very good. Ease of use–could not be better. One thing that these glasses REALLY excel at is close focus. They are better than any other, that I know of, for looking at bugs and flutterbys. I use them for birding primarily. The first pair that I had got stolen/taken by my little brother because he liked them so much. I was forced to buy another. There is another that Audubon recommends that is comparable, maybe better, for birding but these are a good tool. No doubt in my mind.

I love Nikon optics. Yes you can purchase better, but to the naked eye it’s almost impossible to tell the difference. I own a pair of binoculars the cost over $1300, but over the last few years I almost always take my Nikon’s bird-watching. Hard value to beat.

These are fantastic binoculars. They have extending eye cups, which makes them perfect for use either with or without glasses. You can leave the eye cups in for people who wear glasses, and rotate them out for people who don’t. This came in handy on a recent trip around the San Gabriel Mountains of California – everyone in my group wanted to use them, and adjusting between those in the party with glasses and those without took only a couple of seconds, even including adjusting the focus! The focus is also fantastic. It’s extremely easy to get a really good, clear focus on these, and the dial provides a really nice degree of resistance, so that it is easy to turn while still being able to make precision adjustments. These lenses and prisms are fully multi-coated, meaning that every surface (inside and out) has multiple coats on it, which I’m sure contributes to the sharp image. I noticed very little glare, regardless of the brightness of the things we looked at or the position of the sun. These were a fantastic buy, and I don’t think you’ll find anything like them anywhere near this price.

I bought these as a gift for my wife and she absolutely loves them. They are relatively light weight and easy for her to use and carry. She doesn’t care for the lens covers, they are a nuisance under the field conditions we’ve used them in (not rainy). The objective lens covers won’t stay closed unless the glasses are in the case and the cover for the eye pieces is not the greatest. Otherwise, these are a great value.

The Nikon Monarch 3 has amazing clarity and brightness. Got a re-furbished unit. Everything looks brand-new. The only issue I detected was the left rubber eye cup was not smooth when twisting outward. For the discounted price, I can live with the slight imperfection.

I have several binoculars and these are great. Very sharp image with ability to see objects at pretty far distances. Definitely worth the money. I was glad to get them for $180 from a third party, kandk-co.

The weight of the binoc and crisp viewings for birding is what made me buy this binoc two more times, for my husband and daughter after I had my pair for a test drive. You not only have the distance viewing but a real plus is viewing birds really close to you which I really appreciate. Love the way it lies straight on my body when hiking and walking distances.

For the price, these are a very good binocular for the casual birder. If you are really serious about birding in the field, though, these don’t offer quite enough light and sharpness to do the job.

    Well built, super clear image.

These binoculars are great value for the dollar. Compared to my old ones these are very bright and clear. Weight wise they are reasonable and aren’t too heavy around your neck. As for the lens covers, some reviews say they fall off. They are pliable and if you press on the centre of them, they actually suction to the binoculars. Since the caps attach to the binoculars they won’t be lost.

Super sharp. Very clear. Highly recommended. Easy to keep steady when looking at birds. Only complaint would be the covers, they like to pop off. With a little modification you can make them hold better. At this price these are probably the best pair out there.
