I already have a set of 10×50 binoculars, so I wondered if it was wise to spend more money on the same binocular different brand. It was. There is no comparison. These binoculars are soooo much clearer it’s not even funny. I am very happy with the quality of these binoculars. And Nikon seems to be a company that stands behind their product. They are a little heavier than regular binoculars, but I imagine it’s due to the quality. The adjustments are smooth to operate, and they come with a padded case, and real good neck strap. They gather more light, so you can hunt later.

These binoculars were just what I was looking for. I wear glasses and this model has long eye relief so I don’t have to take my glasses off to use them. But if I want to use them without glasses, the eyecups can be extended out by turning them a fraction of a turn. A very nice feature. They are bright and compact, not as wide as poro prism binoculars. I love the finish because it isn’t slippery. You could say the finish grips. Shifting focus is easy while viewing and of course one eyepiece has diopter adjustment. These would probably be a good choice most folks.

After getting all of my binoculars stolen, I thought I would give Nikon a try. I have a few other optic products from Nikon, so the choice was easy. I was not disappointed. Great clarity, light, easy to focus, and very good magnification. Perfect all around set of glasses. Great for the dash of your pickup, durable enough for your 4wheeler, light enough for your pack. Wouldn’t recommend wearing them around your neck all day without a better strap.

After reading all the reviews on Amazon, I decided to order these for my husband’s birthday! He absolutely loves them!We live very close to a mountain in Arizona and now we can see so clearly!!! These binoculars are really the best bang for your buck! Great product and visual distance!!! Love these!!

I bought these as a 70th (yikes!) Birthday present for myself, and I am so glad that I did. I did a LOT of research before purchasing these, and they must surely be one of the best buys for first-time binocular owners. Reason being: they are so comfortable and much less weighty than many competitors’ (10X50s can be up to 3 pounds!). My brother was quite pleased (and a bit surprised, I think) that I bought these without asking him beforehand. (He prefers the $400-$500 German glass binocs.) I am looking forward to his next visit when we will spend some time out in the ‘wild’ here on the Central Coast comparing our glasses. I didn’t even realize that they are also waterproof. Happy Birthday to me!! BTW, I do coastal trail and cliff walks, target shoot, and just generally love to ‘eyeball’ the great outdoors. Much easier to enjoy those things now, thanks to these glasses.

May be I expectation to Nikon is too high. I feel the image quality, ease of use and others like fog control is just average. It is a good product though.

We have an old pair of Sears 7×35 glasses, and an old pair of 10×50 that are really heavy. These new Nikon’s are lightweight, with very good clearity compared to the old hand me downs. Really no comparison.

Love these binos. Great clarity, perfect size, lightweight, and waterproof. The only disappointment is that the dust covers are a joke. Bought some Vortex covers, and now the setup is perfect.

I did not get paid or receive anything for this review. I personally purchased and paid for this item at Amazon.ca.These Nikon Prostaff 5 binoculars are excellent binoculars. They are super clear and the adjustable eye relief ( adjustable height rubber eye cups ) worked great. At 10 power the images seen through the binoculars were pristine. My only complaint with these binoculars is the fact that they are heavy. I hope you enjoyed my review and it was helpful.

Took a few uses to get used to the shape but once familiar with them I began to appreciate the clear sight picture especially in low light . Fun to use and easy to lock on to moving objects .

Perfecto para ver el cielo nocturno, incluso con anteojos. Mucho más fácil que un telescopio, y suficiente detalle para ser realmente interesante
