The 20V MAX XR brushless cordless 1/4 sheet variable speed sander provides you with the power and runtime needed to get the job done.

A variable-speed dial provides speed control from 8, 000 – 14, 000 OPM for a variety of jobs.

One-handed locking dust bag attaches securely to the sander to aid in dust collection or the user can attach the sander directly to the DWV010 or DWV012 dust collectors (sold separately).

Rubber overmold grip provides comfortable sanding. Paper clamp designed to hold paper securely and for ease of installation. Battery and charger sold separately.

    Unless you’re sanding for hours on end, cordless sanders are the way to go, no question. While I prefer the ease of a random orbital sander with their pre made hook and loop pads, there are limited options to them. That’s where the good old palm sheet sander comes in. While it takes a little more setup, cutting your sandpaper sheet to size and punching holes for dust removal (optional), it offers so many more options.Random orbital pads generally range from 40 grit to 220 or 320 grit at most stores. However you can find sheets of sandpaper in grits up into the thousands, which is needed for metal polishing. Sheets of sandpaper are also quite cheap compared to random orbital pads.And lastly, this gets into right angles where a round random orbital sander can’t. So while I still reach for my orbital most of the time, this is a great compliment to it.
