    My girlfriend wouldn’t shut up about wanting an espresso machine after she was a Starbucks Barista for 2 weeks. After many minutes of listening to the bitching about how our coffee is sub par because I use a drip machine made me cave. I purchased this machine and it has sat un-used since that day it came in the mail. But, I thank the manufacturer for making it a bright color this way when we get into an argument I can see it and remember to tell her to shut up I bought her a fancy coffee machine.thanks

    Initial review two weeks in: Wonderful machine, especially considering the price! I use mine about 3x daily. It produces a great crema and the frother/steamer works very well.Here is a follow up to my initial review:The espresso maker worked very well for about six months, making approximately three espressos daily. At the six month mark, the boiler gasket lost its elasticity, rendering the machine completely unusable. I wasn’t unduly concerned about the quality because the machine had seen so much use.However, my experience with Delonghi customer service has been frustrating.During my first phone conversation with customer service, I supplied all needed information including the unit’s serial number. Immediately following the phone call, I emailed a .pdf of my invoice from Amazon. I didn’t get a response so I sent the email with the reference number and attached .pdf invoice two more times.After my third email, one week after initial contact, Delonghi’s response was “customer advocate will respond shortly.”Delonghi’s website states that “Our consumer service representatives strive to respond to all e-mail inquiries within 24 hours of receipt.”Dissatisfied with this response, my husband followed up with a phone call, two days ago. During this phone call, the serial number was provided yet again.10 days after initial contact, I received another request for the invoice and for the serial number. After sending the invoice four times and the serial number three times, I have run out of patience with their quality of service.Following my initial phone conversation, all I needed was the shipping address for their certified repair shop in Dallas, as the unit is under warranty. They took 10 days to get me the address.I still think the machine works fairly well considering the upfront price. However, once a problem does arise, you’re out of luck.

    This was the worst thing I have ever shopped online. I ordered the first machine, it did not work at all, it used to pour cold water, the buttons did not work, very disfunctional. I returned the first one, and I order a replacement of this same item, figure I’d give it a second chance. The second machine was even worse than the first one. A total nightmare. Not only that all three buttons were defected, but also it flooded my kitchen floor with water. Also some steam was coming out when I was trying to make the espresso. The worst. Do not but this product, unless you enjoy going back and forth returning it to the UPS store.
