We had a different manufacturer’s toaster oven for 20 years that finally gave up. There were no parts available to fix it and they no longer manufactured it. So, we went looking and this was the only unit that had the dimensions that would work for our counter space. We went and ordered it and here is what we found: 1. Keep in mind that his unit is ONLY painted on the front!! Top, sides, back, and bottom and all bright metal. Since this unit is on a counter with cabinets overhead and items on both sides, it worked out fine for us. We do NOT move it to use it. If this will be out on an open counter or if you move it to an open area to use, you may want to think about it first. 2. The oven is fairly well made and does a decent job of each function. Some of the rack positions are a bit different than our previous unit, so there was a small learning curve. Keep in mind that toast does vary depending upon the type of bread and moisture content of the bread. So, settings may need to be varied if you move from bread type to bread type for even toasting. Not a big deal and easy to accomplish. 3. Because this is a digital unit, there is NO more tick tick tick as the timer winds down!! Just the ding at the end and you can turn that off if you want. 4. The back light on the display panel is normally off, which is nice. It only comes on when you open the door and remains on for two minutes after you close the door to allow you to decide what you want to do and to select settings. It also stays backlighted when it is running. 5. The only major design issue I have with the unit is the design of the glass inset in the door. On other ovens the glass and the metal were flush so you could not collect crumbs on the door. This unit has a lip around the glass so when you have the door open it can catch and hold crumbs. They do NOT wipe out easily because the edge holds them in. 6. The fan in this unit is very quiet and only comes on when you select convection. 7. The metal on this does get very warm, especially the bump out on the back that allows you to put in a rather large pizza! So, ensure adequate clearance and ensure that if you place this on a counter that the cord does NOT touch the back of the unit!!! I used an offset adapter to have the cord go sideways instead of straight out from the outlet to keep the cord off of the back of the unit.At this point in time I am happy with the unit and would recommend it even with the door issue.

It replaced a Cuisinart oven that lasted for 7 years that was still working but getting very hard to clean. The replacement is a piece of junk. The button labels wore off in a few months. Then the convection fan quit. Last night it wouldn’t heat up to correct temperature. So, 9 months from purchase to trash. Never again with a Cuisinart, I can’t afford them!

3 months in – unit has worked well and cooks as expected. One negative – the labels are coming off the buttons. This will make it hard to use in the future. This is disappointing.

The writing on the toaster dials has already come off of the buttons. We’ve only used the toaster over 3 times so the dials should be holding up.

It seemed like a nice toaster oven when opened and used. But after 2 months of using it almost daily, the buttons wear off the writing. For the price I paid, this certainly shouldnt happen. What happened to the good ol days of quality appliances?? Tired of buying crap.

The unit works great, but the letters on the command buttons come off with daily use. There are six commands, timer, temperature, and four others, which I can not read because the letters blur and then disappear. Contacted Cuisinart but they want to send me a new unit at my expense which seems like a waste of everything. They also said they had no reports like mine. I keep a very clean kitchen so I find it hard to believe mine is the first problem.

I purchased this about 2 months ago. I love the design and you just can’t beat the Cuisinart name. The reason I only give it a 3-star is the “ding” indicating that the temperature has been reached goes off well before it’s actually reached. Yesterday, I set it for 400 degrees and was dinged when it was only at 300. I had to wait until the full temperature was reached. Didn’t have to wait long but don’t tell me the temperature has been reached if it hasn’t.My second (and much bigger) issue I’m having is the cooking temperature is well over what I entered. I set it at 400 degrees and it keeps climbing to 450. I hate to have to keep staring at my oven themometer while cooking and making adjustments. I’m really considering returning it.

Blows away other toaster ovens we ever had. Worth spending more. Have made steaks, chops , and chicken in it..everything comes out perfect! Best feature of all is that when you select various cooking options (bake, broil etc) preset time and temperature display for that function. Although adjustable, the presets are perfect. Super easy to clean inside. Still looks new in there despite heavy usage. Relatively compact outside, but spacious inside. Buy it..you won’t regret it!
