I use this in my RV and it does make ice last longer then my old Coleman cooler. My only complaint is the drain area, this area is not insulated and sweats. The carpet area under the cooler gets wet and cooler has to be moved to allow it to dry. Let me tell you this cooler is heavy when loaded and is no small chore to move. I love the rubber feet cause the cooler does not slide around when RV is in motion, but not so great if your trying to move it to dry the floor from the sweating.

The cooler is big and heavy but if you need ice retention for more than 2 or 3 days it’s a good choice. I took it on a 3 day camping trip with enough food and drinks for 2 people for the duration and 2 -20 lb. bags of ice which filled it. When I returned home I removed the remainder of the food but left the drinks and ice and kept an eye on it, at the end of the 8th day there was still a small amount of ice and the temperature was 45 degrees f in the cooler. The outside temperatures were in the upper 80’s and low 90’s and I did keep it in the shade as much as possible.

This thing is built like a tank. It’s kind of odd shaped and it’s a bit heavy but it keeps food ice cold for days. Like the little extras. It has a cutting board and a basket.

Has all the features I was looking for in a roto cooler and this thing is solid as a rock. Super easy to latch and unlatch and I love that the dual drains attach to garden hoses so you can drain your cooler without moving it. But the neatest thing is that is is the EXACT SAME COOLER AS THE ESKY! The Esky goes for 300.00 and the Coleman for 167.00 is that a steal or what? Companies have been known to sell the exact products under different names and this is a prime example. I guess there are people who won’t buy a cooler unless its expensive like a Yeti so the made the Esky and for the bargain buyer they made the Heavy Duty. But trust me these are the exact same coolers, just look at the pictures and features in the product description.

I took this cooler with me for my annual camping trip in the mountains of Virginia. I filled the cooler with ice before heading out for a 5 hr drive and didn’t need to add more ice until the third evening alongside the yeti coolers belonging to my friends. The weather was around 85-90 degrees during those days so I am pleased that the cooler was able to keep so cold. That was my desired intent. I wanted a cooler that didn’t require daily re-icing. Also, the size was perfect other than trying to get it in and out of a small sedan was a bit of challenge, but with a little help, I was able to manage.

This cooler is great! It has kept ice for over 14 days, outside in the basket on the back of my fifth wheel . Even though the temperature has not been extremely hot, I am more than pleased. I just left it there to see how long it would be before all the ice was gone.

Great cooler! the cutting board and basket are great added features. Held ice for 3 days no problem. used combination of ice and ice packs and ice packs at the bottom were still frozen solid after 3 days. Only downside i see to this cooler is its size for only a 55qt. This cooler is HUGE. It is more bulky and not as streamlined as the YETIs or RTICs but for $165 worth it. Seems solid and should last forever, just be prepared to haul it around.
