    Spooled the reel up with some spiderwire 30lb stealth braid and paired the reel to an Abu Garcia Veritas 6’6” medium heavy rod for a nice lightweight and short package. Performance was great.The brakes are a little difficult to activate if you have larger fingers and short finger nails. You can use a small hook, pen, or knife to gently lift them.Great distance from the reel and rod combo with 1/4 oz spoons. Caught two rainbow trout and a largemouth in the first hour.Lacks instructions on maintenance, operation, etc… so the internet is going to be your friend there.

    This reel is very finicky. I bought it because I thought the extra brske settings would be an advantage for lighter lures. Wrong, I use it for 1/2 oz spinner baits, and crankbaits. I can never seem to get it dialed in to my liking.

    Awesome reel very well-made what you would expect from a Abu Garcia reels. Love the Improvements. Especially where it’s not chromed out and has black finish so the finish on the knobs get rubbed off.

    Item purchased arrived in two days of being ordered. Item shown on the Amason site was a 7:3.1 ratio reel. What I received was what I really wanted – an 8:0.1 ratio reel. Could not be happier with what I received.

    I received the wrong reel twice. They were both wrapped in plastic, The reel I received was a cheaper reel. I returned both of them

    Once you set the internal brakes to where you comfortable and set the real to where bait falls round 12 inches can get some very long cast out of the real no backlashes are none of that stuff on light baits the real does everything I need it to do very easily just spend a little time with it
