    Smooth reel, also own a catfish special and a chrome rocket, if you are looking to save some money though I recommend the warrior series that Sougayilang has come out with. They also look stunning and from what we can tell, if they were in a closed experiment, I’m not sure anyone could discern the difference. Before you buy this at anywhere from 150-200 (I paid 199) seriously consider the specs on the reel pictured in my review. Feel free to ask questions I don’t mind answering.

    When i pulled it out of the box it looked possibly used. I opened the spool and then reel it in. For some reason the worm gear wasn’t moving at all. I also noticed the wheel wasn’t spinning. So i opened and closed the bail a number of times and nothing worked. After 5/6 times it still wasn’t working. I tried adjusting the braking and it would randomly start working until i click the spool closed then it wouldn’t work. Pretty disappointed in getting a defective product. Amazon is replacing it with a new one so I will wait and see.Replacement reel works great no issues.

    I have tons of Abu Garcia’s, round and low pro. I am loyal to the brand always have been think it runs in the family lol . I just bought this reel a few months ago. It’s on a 7ft MH Penn rod with 30lb KastKing braided line. Its hauled in specs,reds(bulls), small shark, and many more. I can tell this is one that will last a life time if taken care of. I still have Abu’s that are up to 30+ years old that I still use on every fishing trip.
